Sorry about the silence, folks. I didn’t want to make a news post without a comic post but the comic post kept turning into something that was later and later in coming and finally I figured I should say something lest you all think I’ve abandoned the place.
MFF was okay. It wasn’t great; I didn’t really make enough at my table to justify the expense in heading out there, so I’m probably going to skip it in the future, even though I did really enjoy getting to meet so many readers.
I’m kind of coming up on a weird transition with my plans for this comic; I have one or two more short stories that I want to do and then after that I’m planning something much longer — and it was this something much longer that kind of derailed my comicking since getting back from MFF last week: rather than working on this week’s comic I spent a little bit too much energy working on the long-term project. Oops! This is doubly terrible because this week’s comic was supposed to be tangentially Thanksgiving-themed and now I’ve missed the due date.
So, uh, if you haven’t all left yet, bear with me, cool stuff is in the pipeline. If you want something to keep you busy until I’ve got a new comic to post, I recently had the pleasure of being interviewed by Nikki Jeske over at Fuel Your Illustration. I don’t know about you guys, but I just love to read me talking about myself.
I’d also like to drop a plug for Thornwolf, who was my tablemate at MFF, and who has just recently set up shop at Storenvy, where she has prints, originals, and stickers. She does excellent work, go have a look!
