Okay! So! Last comic of this year is the first story of next year. Are you excited? I’m excited! The holidays are out of the way and we’re gonna plow into a new story and we’ve got a little bit of a better hold on how to use the watercolors and dang. So much possibility! So stoked.
This poem was written by my good friend Morris, who is very talented and who I am very pleased to be able to be working with.
We’re also two weeks outside of Further Confusion, which I can muster no emotion for outside of a mounting dread. FC is a lot of work for me under normal circumstances, as I frantically work to prepare and frame artwork for the artshow and gather up merchandise for the table. In addition to those things, I also had the brilliant idea to volunteer to head up the art track, and so this year I’ll also be spending a lot of time biting my fingernails and trying to make sure that the excellent lineup of panelists we have this year have everything they need.
Finally, many of you have seen it already but for those of you that haven’t, I totally dropped a guest comic straight down on Housepets this week. I appreciate the opportunity afforded by the inestimable Rick Griffin to climb up on the stage of his comic and flail about while all of his friends snicker at me. Big ups!
