Time to bite the ballot

Hey guys, it looks like since it’s the start of the month, they’ve reset the ballots over on Topwebcomics, so there’s a possibility of getting The Dawn Chapel on the frontpage. If you could take a moment to vote it up (and you can vote again every 24 hours), you know that I would be very grateful. It’ll take you, like, two clicks. Three, tops.

Yeah so I think we can all agree that I have basically no idea what will cause wordpress to repost older entries to the rss feed.

It’s Valentines day and I can think of no better way to express my love for you than to call your attention to the collection of cards that the My Brother, My Brother, and Me podcast has put together, and to call your attention to my own contribution to it.

I will warn you, lest you be scandalized, that it dips into blue language that I generally avoid using here. Also, geese engaging in carnal acts. I apologize in advance.

But the love doesn’t stop there! At the end of the day today I will be selecting the winners of the Dourif-Haley drawing, which you still have time to enter.

As I said before, three people will be selected to win these very slick acrylic keyrings, etched with a tiger design. And! If you didn’t want to take your chances, you are now able to purchase it immediately from the store, along with two other acrylic keyrings.

The winners of the drawing will be announced tomorrow, when I post the comic. I’m going to cut off entries at about 11pm pacific.

Done caught the crud

Guys I know that if skipping two weeks is going to become a staple of the convention experience, there’s not going to be much reason to hope to see me at one, so I’ma do my best to get the comic done sometime on Sunday; but right now I am sick, and I don’t want to do anything, on account of I have come down with what our people colloquially refer to as the con crud.

On the upside this is probably the last convention anyone can expect to see me at until around May – I’m planning on sending some art off to FWA for the art show but won’t be in attendance myself. I mean unless someone wants to pay my way. Should I take up donations for a FWA trip? I dunno. Probably not. I hear it gets humid in Georgia, anyway. So next on the convention calendar is Fanime, also here in downtown San Jose, with Califur and (possibly?) Anthrocon shortly after that.

Further Confusion was pretty danged fantastic. I’ve never done as well, monetarily speaking, at a convention as I did last weekend. I have a fair amount of homework to do after the con as far as badges and sketchbooks and stuff to finish, and prints were selling like gangbusters. Once things have settled down next week, expect me to restock laser tags and put some new prints and originals up in the store.

Otherwise, check back Sunday night or Monday morning if I haven’t surrendered myself to the consumption by then.

No comic this week; rollin’ w/Jackson

On account of being busy out of my mind with Further Confusion this weekend there is no possible way I’m going to have a comic up this week, I am totally up to my eyeballs in con work. If you’re at the con, find us in the dealer’s hall at table 82, our table is right up against the center aisle and the banner’s on the endcap. Otherwise, we will see you next week!
